Use toolpalettes or designcenter. And make sure the pattern files arelocated in a support path. This way you can use individual hatch patterns. These are placed on ournetwork.-Garywrote in message news:[email protected] the past, if I wanted to add an established hatch pattern that didn'tcome in the box I added it to the ACAD.PAT file and there it was ready touse.
I have tried that in 2007 and the new pattern isn't available. I haveeven changed the name of the ACAD.PAT file it see if Hatch would work inAutoCad and it does work so I am obviously not adding the Hatch pattern tothe correct file. What am I doing wrong? What am I doing wrong? If your are working in a metric DWG then te hatches are stored inacadiso.pat-George Drayton CD-CAD Ltd New Zealand'Warren Trost' wrote in messagenews:[email protected].(findfile 'acad.pat')Checks which file is being referenced.wrote in message news:[email protected] the past, if I wanted to add an established hatch pattern that didn'tcome in the box I added it to the ACAD.PAT file and there it was ready touse. The ACAD.PAT should be in a hidden folder deep within the Documents andSettingsyourlogin labyrinth.
To find it, first start Windows Explorer andgo to Tools / Folder Options / File Types, and ensure that hidden files areshown. Then dig down into 'c:documents and settingsyourloginapplicationdata'Your best bet, however, may be to define all of your custom hatch patternsin their own file(s) so that you don't have to append the autodesk-suppliedacad.pat every time you upgrade.-Ralph Sanchezin message news:[email protected] the past, if I wanted to add an established hatch pattern that didn'tcome in the box I added it to the ACAD.PAT file and there it was ready touse.
